Ownership & Management

The Herd Reserve, a declared Private Nature Reserve under South Africa’s Protected Areas Act, is a partnership between private landowners – the ZZ2 group of companies and the former Limpopo Valley Conservancy (Terblanchehoek Game Farms Pty Ltd) – and the provincial conservation authority, the Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, LEDET.

Under the stewardship of the designated Management Authority – the Herd Reserve NPC, a registered Non-Profit Organisation – the reserve is managed by a dedicated team who share a passion for African wildlife and conservation.
